Honestly don't think I'm finishing this before the loan expires, just because it's such a hard book to just sit down with and lock in. Because of the nature of it every new chapter starts with info dumps and exposition about the current time period, which is especially annoying when it comes to the humans. Currently Holsten is being kidnapped (AGAIN, mind you) by crazy people that he thinks are the descendants of (+)

This book is driving me INSANE. I think both of the main perspectives are having a competition to see which one of them can make me surrender my hope that I will enjoy this book again the fastest.

(+) cargo that went insane, and this is all caused by Guyen??? Also Lain is there and she got kidnapped too. Meanwhile the spiders are being religious. Basically currently it's quite dull. I never really like the humans because Holsten is SO boring but I'm annoyed Portia is being annoying too. Maybe it'll get better
