the plot moves in turtle's paces but i think it is because the multiple point of views. i generally know what would happen bc so far it's 90% identical with hbo game of thrones even though some characters are different. this book is not as difficult to understand as i thought it would be thankfully

as i've been saying, i already know the general plot, however the book is actually more ”on the face” than the show—probably due the limitations of visual medium. like the foreshadowing isn't even subtle & some war and politicking are spelled out loud, which make it easier to follow. i just wish it gives more focus to daenerys bc so far she's the most interesting character for me.

the biggest challenge of this books is the multiple pov that keep changing each chapter, i think. sometimes a character is very interesting & you only want to read about them but you're "forced" to read less interesting characters' pov as well if you want to understand the whole picture & complete story. i do like the scheming, trickery, & all those politicking though
