I often feel impatient for not liking a book for the first x number of pages, then a book like this comes along and I’m reminded some books are actually well suited for capturing my attention in the first pages. Absolutely buzzing to keep reading. Reminds me of a Dostoyevsky book kind of, where the happenings are a stage for showcasing the most fascinating human questions there are.
