Hi Simon. On My TBR is John Connolly's Every Dead Thing. The only book I've read from this author it The Killing Kind, but it was long ago and I remember nothing except the overall feeling, which was quite acceptable, but I was not thrilled. Would you please advise with which book to start reading Charlie Parker saga?

Good evening Mr T. Every Dead Thing is the first book, and I would recommend starting there, and then reading the books in order. Although most book stand on their own, there is a thread that runs through the books, characters that appear throughout the series, and not reading them in order can cause some confusion. If you choose to start reading this series, which I highly recommend, I would definitely re-read The Killing Kind, because I bet you would enjoy it more second time around.

There is perhaps one exception to the above, and that is the book I am reading at the moment. This is book 18 BUT it is actually set before the first book. It is more of a straight up thriller, and there isn't the supernatural edge that the other books have, it is however, absolutely brilliant.
