The dynamic is so off in this book. It’s literally political rich fmc and guy who’s just trying to get by. They’ve also only interacted once in person so far and the rest has been over the phone so I am just struggling to understand how this relationship will turn out

Okay spoiler alert but also I don’t know wtf is happening. This book was like recommended to me because it was someone’s favorite book but this book is crazy so far.
So like their first introduction is the fmc calling him to tell his dad to register to vote (his dads dead) and he blurts that his dad HUNG HIMSELF and hangs up and then she online stalks him on google? Like HUH?!?
