…I really think this book deep dives into what it’s like to be Native American in America no matter the time period. Like we start off in the 1950s and I just made it to the 1960s. It wrestles with real concepts like how we couldn’t say we were native or we’d be put on reservations. Assimilation to survive..
Beautiful book so far despite the hate from others in the book.
