The sudden change in artstyle/artist between chapter 1 and 2 was the most disturbing part so far. Im shaking. Im actually considering DNFing because what even is that. I loved the art for chapter 1 and now I can't tell the difference between any of the characters.

I knew there was something off! That must be it. I've been debating whether to DNF without really getting why! I did chapter 1 on kindle and there was a little gap before starting the compedium. Now I'm comparing and can see the difference from chapter 1. It's really harsh black/white now. I'm glad you said something.

Yes, I think I understand what the second artist was going for with the darker, colder style. But I definitely enjoyed the first artstyle more. Glad I'm not alone in that!
The first style is definitely better, by far. It's been sitting there for weeks untouched. I was blaming it on the size/weight, but actually it's the art too. I knew I'd gone off it but hadn't connected the dots. The latter is way too hard, cold, and like you said... struggling to distinguish between a lot of the characters.
Even though I dont really like it, ill try reading at least a little further to see if I get used to the artstyle. My hopes arent very high though. . .
