and also why has dark romance shifted from morally grey characters into a glorification of such themes - it’s disgusting. and let’s not forget there are literal 12 year olds reading this because booktok has absolutely popularised it. think of how truly damaging that is for young minds. we’re making them think that shit is okay

Clo wrote: "No hate to this at all but for me the reason I liked it was because I’m a survivor myself and it was just nice to see someone get the happy ending I didn’t"also being a survivor; i can see things from that point of view. i think you are really strong and i am so sorry for what you have been put through. i think i have an issue with it when people are gaining enjoyment out of it because they find it 'hot', 'sexy' and 'attractive' knowing full well that it is rape. it being highly romanticised is so wrong. i am not here to judge the side of it in which people cope - as i'm very aware that people cope with trauma in very different ways. although the romanticising of it is sickening and worrying - i am not going to start using the same opinion and view for those who are using this as a way to cope and for those who it is a comfort due to their own experience. i don't think it would be fair to outwardly have an opinion on that knowing full well every human being copes in very drastically different ways. (and has a right to) i am not here to comment on or judge that part. i hope you are okay 🖤
