Not that I give a fuck either way. If it were safe for Violet, I’d be ecstatically guilty of inappropriate behavior. Wickedly inappropriate. In my bed. In hers. On a table in the Archives. In the building chamber and every room with a door to lock so no one else can see what’s mine. I’d be so decadently inappropriate that her voice would turn hoarse from screaming my name every single day.

“Not sure I’ll ever be finished.” He rises, every plane of his body caressing mine on the way up. “I’m way too fucking greedy when it comes to you.”

"Violet Sorrengail, are you wearing Riorson's flight jacket?"
"Why would you say that?"
"Oh, I don't know. Because it's huge on you and there are three stars right here?"
Well, shit. Just goes to show that neither of us was thinking clearly.
"It could be any third-year's."
"With a Fourth Wing shield on the shoulder?"
"That does limit it a bit.”
