I must add my favourite quotation from the first story.

“So far as I can tell, he was correct about only one thing: this place badly needs the services of an exterminator. There are some huge rats in the walls, by the sound.”

The first story (Jersusalem’s lot) was fantastic. I eat up a haunted house, and the divergence from the expected narration was really refreshing actually. I kind of want to read Salem’s lot now. But it would probably scare the pants off me. Poor Calvin my Shayla, what a plot twist.
