On the other, the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. Technology can be used in such a way that dehumanizes us and attempts to reach Heaven "without God's blessing," or it can be used for the common good of all people. Let us choose wisely how we use it.

I started chapter 1. Pope Leo reaffirms that the Church does not seek to overpower politics or science, but that the Church's social doctrine provides a foundation for discernment about how to serve the common good. I can't help notice the references to Pope Francis' encyclicals and documents from the Second Vatican Council. Very interesting.
