I want to finish this just to be able to write a review about how he did Tucson and the Sonoran desert a massive injustice considering it holds the world’s most biodiversity in a desert. I’m definitely biased but I also love all the deserts and it felt saddening to have it flattened in comparison to the Mojave

This chapter: Fighting Hitler in the Desert—this guy Alan Cranston (who loved and protected the Mojave desert) translated his own version of Mein Kampf, sold half-million copies, and donated all proceeds to refugees of Nazi Germany. Then Hitler’s minion essentially sued him and the U.S sided with Hitler.
