Imagine describing your daughters as bossy when you are the most controlling of mothers. Or judging everyone else’s behaviour when your own is impulsive and scattered. Yikes.

On the upside, it is refreshing to see a single-mother protagonist and a hot Scotsman as the love interest is always a good idea.
