Also, I seriously despise that Mehtar doctor. I understand that she's trying to do what she thinks is right, but honeslty, she couldn't be more wrong. She's willing to drug Cordelia without consent in order to get the "results" she's looking. She's invading Cordelia's privacy and mind, forcing her into action. She's basically responsible for what happened to herself. It's a telling that no gov is "good" in the end.

Cordelia, queen, you are breaking loose! I love it when a character is slowly losing their mind. Cordelia is such a sane madwoman. Oh her inner dialogue, how her mind worked, jumping from one thing to the other.!And how capable she was! It's like she learnt from Aral and that saved her. She lied, she cheated, she did everything she could to get away trying to escape, to save herself, him and his planet's government.

Uh okay screw what I've said before... I should have never doubted Aral like that. What a twist, he never betrayed Cordelia, but he made it look like it, to cover for his knowledge. Got to admit, he is a master at planning. That was smart. And what I like even more is that Cordelia figured that out on her own not even a few pages after, so that spared me the unnecessary misunderstanding trope that I so much hate.

Yup, I spoke too soon... I knew better. Of course Vorkosigan would "betray" Cordelia in a way, they are at war, after all. But it still felt like a sudden thing, given that I had trusted him to be in love with her. Then again, -as I mentioned before- he is very sensible and practical/tactical for someone in love and of course he has his duty. Viewing it with the war lens it is rather expected. Still...

Oh Aral and Cordelia are so clearly in love with each other and yet they are so mature and "professional". They care and worry for each other and yet they keep it under control. Propriety at its best. It feels like a quiet kind of love, a gentle one. They are not lusting for each other and that is lovely.

Okay! Bothari, you are king! I knew you were honourable deep down! Oh I probably shouldn't have enjoyed the act of murder that would most likely condemn him (Bothari), but that piece of sh*t deserved it. He was basically asking for it! I have no sympathy whatsoever for a rapist and that one certainly was the worst kind, sadist that he was. So long, Vor-whatever! I won't miss you!

Oh what a mess... But Bothari is back. And if I'm being honest, I knew he would play some important part to the story, a good part. He felt like a character that was portrayed as a brute barbarian, but I believe deep down he had his own "honour". He was okay. And now he is back and he is actually acting toward the direction I had hoped.

And so, Cordelia is gone, away from Vorkosigan's ship... Pity, I kind of wanted the two of them together, you know? Alas, I am sure something else will happen to force them to meet again. I hope. I have to admit though, Cordelia's plan turned out great and saved everyone, despite Stubos' stupidity. Oh what a mess! Her crew thinks Vorkosigan is a monster! If only they knew that their dear Cordelia wanted to marry him.

Hm okay Vorkosigan did indeed proposed to Cordelia. And he was, in fact, secretly romantic or so it seems for now. But what I appreciate about his "declaration" was that he simple told her all that and then he presented her with all the difficulties he faced -and in extend she as well-, along with possibilities of his future -again, and hers. Ever so practical, especially for a person who fell in love at first sight.

What is going on with those two? Like, really. Did Vorkosigan just... proposed to Cordelia? Seriously? After not even a week of being acquainted? And also admiting that he knew he wanted her to be Lady Vorkosigan from the first day? It does feel rather rushed. But who am I to argue? Maybe there's some bigger plot at play, who knows? Perhaps he has some motive or he's secretly very romantic and believes in soulmates.
