i was pulled in by the ladarrion williams’ inspiration and motivation for writing this book. from then on, i was welcomed by the familiarity malik holds, reminding me of the many black boys i grew up with who haven’t yet come to terms with the magic they hold within themselves. i’m already entranced by this boy’s story, and i can’t wait to see how he continues to evolve through his magic and healing.
