I’m really trying to like this book. But I just got to this part where he discovers “oh, hey, I have magic” and then just uses it like he’d had it for years. That’s not the first huh?moment. Not even close. Why did the headmaster make the perversion’s head drink his blood? This is all very weird. I’ve read good weird books. Not so much this one.
