The book is very enjoyable so far, I really enjoy the narration, the imagery, and the nature of the book. I also love how slow the pace is. It is not what I expected from a classic, but I am pleasantly surprised.

Really interesting. I really enjoy the pacing of the story, does a great job at building up mystery and intrigue, it tells what is needed to understand the story thus far, but also very little, so you keep reading on. Like I said last log it hooks you. The characters are very perplexing, and interesting. This book is meant to be savoured not sped through. the story does a great job at creating an uneasy atmosphere

It’s getting more interesting, and it’s starting to hook me in. Why do the village people hate the blackwoods so much? What happened to all of the blackwoods? How come Connie always makes merricat go into the village, and indure those often comments. I also can’t wait to learn about Merricats nature. Because she has to remind herself to be kinder to uncle Julien, is she often ill tempered?
