I have already learned so much I didn’t know I didn’t know. The whole of the western hemisphere was so much bigger & more powerful than mainstream American education and pop culture has led us to believe. Small pox is so much more deadly & devastating than I knew and it puts the power of pandemics into perspective, even for someone who has lived through one.
