if this is happening 20 years before EOD, why are they talking about swiping for dates and social media and doom scrolling??? none of that would have been invented yet????? I’m loving it so far, but I’m having a hard time looking past that

unless EOD takes place in like 2035??? the year isn’t actually stated ever in the series
