A beautiful example of anticipating the death of a parent—the urgency to do more, become more. The regret the author feels for not living authentically, followed by the hard 180 she makes, as if she’s trying to make it up to her parent. It’s interesting seeing someone so similar to yourself and your own experience, watching it play out fully while you’re still living it.
