I think this book will be a struggle for me. Right off the bat the book is angry and aggressive. And while I understand that given the author's frustration due to her personal experiences, it isn't likely to win people over to her perspective. She also assumes a lot of bad things about people who are trying to do good and be faithful. Praying for healing for someone doesn't imply that you think you own their body.

I suppose this is my bias as an able-bodied person? but I really don't think it is ableism to pray for and wish someone did not have to face the challenge of a disability in their life. And I think the fact that Christ does heal many people physically does demonstrate that disability is a form of brokenness. His point was that it isn't due to sin, so we shouldn't ostracize the disabled.
