I just can’t put this book down. My favourite author Tea Cooper never ceases to amaze me with her seeming less easy writing style. I love her reference to the past, her descriptions and I can hear my Grandmothers own voice recall these similar descriptions of Sydney and how it was for women of this era. Fascinating characters, this book has brought me so much joy. I will be sad to read the last few pages.
