I forgot how heartbreaking this book was. It is one of my favourites.

I forgot how this ended. To the vampires.

I absolutely could do without all the menses references, and the period blood references and the impure blood and the lapping up of her blood from her womb etc etc. unnecessary grossness.

Pretty sure Ms Rice believed the stuff she was preaching in this book. After the advancements of the last 2 decades I have to wonder if she still did when she passed. I remember now why I enjoyed this book and I’m not even religious.
