I’m on chapter 5 of this book and I’m already struggling. The fmc is currently facing death by some type of sacrificial ceremony and has to be told fifty’leven times to “go now” by those trying to help her escape. Instead she just sits there and mopes around like they’re speaking another language. It’s really killing the momentum for me and I’ve already walked away from this book twice…
