I hate this book bc Oates punishes readers with her writing style, meant to confuse. She defends this choice and some reviewers praise it, but the story was excellent and stood alone. I can't get through her horrible grammar and punctuation to enjoy the plot. She ruined it and I stopped reading no matter how much I wanted to see what happened to M.R. What an utter disappointment.
