At the part where he talks about his father and how his father cares about him, or is at least there for him is tough to get through. At times I even feel jealous, I guess you could say.
My father has been telling me to kill myself since I was around 16 years old. He blames me for ruining his life and how much happier he’ll be when I’m finally dead. Not living or engaging with him isn’t enough apparently…

From my life. Yeah, it’s pretty unfortunate I had/have a father like that. I don’t normally read books like this but something was sort of drawing me in since I had to see and engage with him at my brother’s wedding recently.
In the book the father was really caring, so it was a bit tough to get through without feelings of jealousy rising up in me, if that makes sense?
