So far, the character of Ignatius is a rather biting critique on those stuffy academics who only understand life through the books they read rather through the experiences they have. Ignatius refuses to live life, yet, believes himself to be so intelligent that surely people must care about his observations. He depicts himself as 'The Working Class Boy' despite the fact he has hardly worked a day in his life.

"You are aware, of course, that Freud linked paranoia with homosexual tendencies."

Intriguing so far. Mildly entertaining, if a tad confusing.
