It is pure stubbornness keeping me from DNFing this book. The dialogue swings between boring and preposterous. Example - when questioned by the police, a psychiatrist continually quotes patient privilege (for multiple pages) only to suddenly divulge a borage of information at the end of the interview. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This book should have come with several trigger warnings. It took several very dark turns in this last section.
