DNFing. Not a bad story but not really my style. More of a sweet soft romance. Not what I read orcs for. The FMC feels like she’s written by a modern author who is putting modern POVs on war time orc world. It might as well be a contemporary romance in terms of the characters POVs then they are in a war torn trek through mountains. It is a strange vibe. Cozy enough but not my thing.

Slow burn. Their POV aren’t very character building consistent. She was a medic slave for years and yet she is upset with the MMC for what feels like a very modern sense of dishonesty. And he annoyingly agrees with her we was bad. rather him be more from dif culture and her have to snap out of it realizing the practical need of survival during war is goin to be priority. Wished the dishonesty part was not there.
