Spencer mentioned this piece of literature after making a phone call to Susan from Europe 5000 miles away from where she was. He felt like she was close but far away. The word tantalize came from this Greek king.

The Frontier Myth: How European settlers justified conquering the wilderness and Native Americans through violence as a form of moral progress. This is the book that Spencer amuses himself by while staying in a hotel in London. He had down time when he wasn't working on the bombing case. The literary piece was called regeneration through violence by slotkin
