I like how, despite what Maren did, Lina wasn’t mad at her. Other books would’ve been different but Lina genuinely understood where her friend was coming from. She chose to be honest about being a little mad but forgiving.

I love their friendship and how it hasn’t changed.

I’m enjoying the throwbacks and the memories some of them bring. I am excited to see what is going to happen in future chapters.

Lina’s first “real” kiss!

Flashback to Lina in a hospital because she fell while helping her best friend, Maren, with a project. She wakes up to find Sebastian sitting next to her who recalls the details for her. She has also been taking shifts at work that he’s not on to avoid him and get over her crush. He notices and asks her why but as she’s about to answer her parents arrive. Next thing you know, the seat where he was is empty.

Chapter 10 was filled with Sebastian + Lina spending the day together running errands for the wedding. Lina got to see his mom + Omar, the head chef, after years of not seeing them. A lot of old memories brought up in this chapter for her. I would love to see Sebastian’s POV. Also - Lina said something to him about the marriage license. Him and Claire figured it out the next morning but they had a good laugh.

Lina realizes that she put her name down in the spot Sebastian’s fiancé was supposed to sign so now they have to figure that out.
