Initial inspiration: A band that I’m not sure that I’ve reached my era with just yet, but I know that it’s there somewhere… especially considering the current family regular shout of the accent repeated phrase ‘hit the north!’ - one from our teen years unwittingly… a holiday bike ride and picnic day instinctive choice

The bassist from the fall used to be my neighbour in Levenshulme, nice guy. He's written a book about the fall, too.

Oh awesome! I’ve had the mark e smith book for years that I’ve been meaning to read too, but I’ll keep an eye out for that one thanks. I think at last count they had about 40 members, but they admittedly were going for years…! So wonderfully weird…
Yeah that band is a revolving door, like Wu Tang Clan. Humble Steve though was the second longest tenured member of the fall, after Mark E Smith.
