It’s an excellent book with great analyses that changed the way I think about some things, but it is dense. I have a background in academia (theological and anthropological) and found it hard to parse at times. A real simple example of what to expect: author says “fictive kinship” instead of “found family” at one point. It’s all like that. But the viewpoint is unique and exceptional.
