I love that Gu Yun is reacting realistically to his godson being in love with him. Of course he's shocked and bothered by it. That makes the development way better than him just randomly realizing that he has those feelings as well.

I didn't really have much to say during this book, I was very invested.
I have to say, this is probably the most difficult danmei I've read so far. I thought Thousand Autumns was hard to understand. This book is so plot heavy with all these politics, scheming, and war, that I'm just going with the flow. I like it tho.
Also, I love Gu Yun and Chang Geng, their development is deliciously slow and agonizing 😌

I hope we get to see the rat again. Never would have imagined that Gu Yun would adopt a pet rat, as a rat girlie, it makes me very happy 🥰
