Jennifer Logan has the grit and capability of Elisabet Salander without the darkness. The setting could be our own world in a decade. I shudder to think what our current rulers would do if such tech were available today. The need to shape the thoughts and beliefs of the populous is already evident, while people are like sheep, blindly moving where they're led. I'm anxious to see where this story's going.
