the pacing of this book is not great. nothing happened for 50-60% then finally some things occurred that would have been better introduced earlier. there's also zero tension in the fake hate setup which means there's zero actual believable chemistry between these two. also their talk outside the inn waiting for ottersock was legit gross and not appealing.
