Oh hey, Fionn just called Leander instead of calling Lachlan, for no reason other than so he can owe Leander his doctoring skills and this book can have some "plot" outside his relationship with Rose for the rest of the book. This book is a trainwreck.

This timeline isn't quite making sense. Lark and Rose were just having coffee and somehow enough time has elapsed for her to have gotten the news about her aunt and for Lachlan to have gotten nervous from waiting just in Rose and Fionn's drive across town? It doesn't quite math. This feels sloppy.

This book was started specifically as a book for my husband and I listen to together- for road trips, commutes, chores, that sort of thing. But we have both realized we kinda hate it? And with our daughter accompanying us for all but the last 7 minutes of our commute, it's been very slow going. At the current dosage, we will be done in a few weeks, but books really shouldn't feel like medicine. (I refuse to DNF)

This is such a struggle against the urge to DNF. I probably should, because I cannot stand Rose as a character, but I'd like to see the conclusion of the trilogy.
