okay so yeah once again, what…? I’m just not completely understanding how there’s not one but two instances where the bodies of women of color are being talked abt in such a grotesque way… like this instance is outside of the “game”, so why? like it doesn’t seem like there’s a reason for this (a reason wouldn’t make it better)

describing the bodies of two women of color in such a strange/dehumanizing way doesn’t sit right with me. like once and I’m taking pause and saying hm..? what was that about..? and twice I’m saying ummm ok so you’re weird???? like also I get that in both instances, the characters are necessarily “human” but like.. kinda worse??? I don’t know.

so this started out intriguing, interesting, and fun. and now i feel like im just trudging through. I’m not reading half of a book to DNF it, so

so I’m definitely enjoying this. but this is also reminding me that I don’t really care for action… what’s saving it for me personally is the video game vibes but I don’t really normally care for action movies, books, etc.

Super fun already.. I know it’s a completely different premise, but it’s kind of making me think of like an adult version Percy Jackson bc of the silly elements so far
