marnie has really been getting on my nerves cause why does she complain about everything? whyy!! its become so annoying 💔 hopefully she has some character development. so far, i like everything else about this book. michael is so sweet, i love him. it feels like marnie dulls his shine a bit and i wish that she wasn’t so abrasive. but anyways we’ll see how this goes!

just finished this and im really sorry to say that this was such a disappointment. the writing could have been so much better :( i really did not enjoy the last couple of chapters especially, as well as the ending itself. the character development simply didnt happen — i think that marnie and michael were too one-note for me overall. i really wanted to love this one.

omg!! it got so much better!! im so glad honestly because the first half was pretty slow and lackluster, lots of climbing bleak bits of terrain and mind-numbing conversations. but we have truly turned a corner!! idk what changed in marnie but she’s nothing like she was at the beginning of the book. both characters are super lovely and funny. this tackles the challenges you face when trying to be more vulnerable :)
