I do find it a bit irritating were repeatedly reminded of misogyny in this book that takes place in 1895 but were using modern concepts of sexuality and openly talking about same sex relationships in the open and in public like.... okay. Mind you this is the year Oscar Wilde was put to trial for homosexual acts lmao
