Page 116, onto chapter four. There’s such a thing as “world-building,” and then there’s something much more organically bat-shit and thorough than mere world-building, details and parameters of a fictional reality that come across to the reader in frightening, imaginative ways. Page 65, two chapters in. I haven’t really read any sci fi in years but this book is bursting with all kinds of biomechanical freaky ideas and intersections with the body, that should frighten anyone. It’s fun to read. I picture Philip K Dick and Aeon Flux when I read this.
