as i suspected the children r soo lovely. do wish we saw some more indiv scenes of linus with them before he starts his chara dev arc but the "no thank you" scene was so charming ill let it slide

i thinkk so far the writing is a bit too posh(?) to feel colloquial/enjoyable and i struggle to sympathize with a character that's been employed 17 years and owns a home BUT i do think ill like this book more when the children are fully introduced and get to take part in the narrative so i will persevere
