Instead of revising I have spent hours this week comparing the Wilson, Alexander, Lattimore and Fagles translations and have settled on Edward Smith Stanley read in conjunction with Emily Wilson’s translation notes. Fun fact he was prime minister 3 times ! The language he uses is older than any of the above three but I think it flows really well and stays fairly accurate to the Greek.
