Quite a bit of progress has happened: We see Matthew for 2/3 time Adelaide mentioned in the book. We seen insight into the thoughts of the "Demon" and that the relationship seems to be a bit estranged with the Henry family. We get some more character development between the townsfolk—we find out Fiona (a Chinese house worker) and Bertie Brown are intimately connected :o

Getting good! Unfortunately, I wished Adelaide ended up with Matthew even though the age gap was kinda insane… black women need love too! The Mudge’s though— they need to get beat up. I’m glad Grace came around and apologized!

Very good so far, nice change of pace from previous read. I love how curt and blunt she is, hopefully we get a little backstory on the character. Immediately grips you in!
