Okay so there's some timey-wimey stuff happening, which is fun, but I'm fascinated by the interrogation of reality - between the shifts into scriptwriting format that describe what's going to happen in the book (implying that Misha is himself a character brought to life), and then his characters joining Misha's reality, and then the AI theme/component of the plot. I haven't quite figured it out yet but its enjoyable.

Oh this is excellent. Misha represses his feelings into his writing, but now his writing is coming to life and hurting people, and so he feels guilty about what he's been writing, which is really him feeling guilty about not dealing with his emotions. It all ties into the discussion at the casino with Seth, about horror serving as a placeholder for unpleasant emotions.

So even with giving chances out for adverbs that I feel like were absolutely necessary, when all is said and done, the first twenty-one pages of Bury Your Gays had 103 adverbs. Fully 2% of the text. If your average page has 250 words on it, there were two or three adverbs on every page.
IT GETS REPETITIVE. There must have been other ways to emphasize words or evoke the vibe.
