I've been reading each story for it's appropriate season.
In spring, I read the Shawshank Redemption. I'd give it a 5/5. It was a master class in character writing, and I loved the hopeful message at the end.
For summer, I read Apt Pupil. The writing was 5/5, but the story was so disturbing I'd give it a 2.5/5. I love King's writing, but this story was too much for me. I'm so glad to be done with it.
