Don't think I'll get much further. So, you have a critical mission for humanity so you put together a team that have never worked together. Your commander is pretty good, but you put him with a drunk pilot, and a second in command with a lieutenant with a massive chip on her shoulder to the extent that she cannot follow an order without questioning it. Stupid.
