There you go. One of the few good things in this book. I genuinely laughed out loud at that.

The fact that Killian does all this shit without even establishing a safe word with Glyndon, and genuinely without Glyndon's consent, this far into the book... Yeah, God of Malice is WAY darker than Kiss the Villain. Why did Kiss the Villain get so much hate when it came out? Did they even READ Malice? (Unless they hated both Kiss *and* Malice.)

Wait... What the fuck? Is Brandon (and presumably Landon) being played by JF Harding when Shane East is in the cast already? Why the fuck would they do that?! And no wonder Bran and Lan sound so different than they do in Fury.

FMCs need to stop kink shaming themselves. Also, I want a book where an FMC doesn't bleed or experience pain when they lose their virginity.

Okay, in a lot of ways this is parallel to Kiss the Villain chapter 13, so why do I like KtV 13 and not GoM 21? Gareth had so much more agency in a lot of ways - he actually chose to engage with Cherry, whereas Glyndon didn't choose to engage with Gareth. Gareth is constantly shown to have malicious intent against Kayden. And I also think I just can't identify with Glyndon's pervasive femininity.

It's been worth forcing myself through this book just for chapter 21 (the fight between Gareth and Kill).

Theory: Devlin is still alive?

Apparently chapter 19, or nearly halfway through, is where Killian, and thus this book, finally becomes tolerable. (Don't get me wrong, Glyndon's been annoying AF too, but as a result of Killian. I feel like calling her out *too* much would be victim blaming. But I guess really it's just author blaming.)
