This book is incredible. It’s brutal, honest, sad, relevant, and inspiring. The parallels from when Octavia Butler wrote this book in 1993 to today in 2026 give me goosebumps. I can’t wait to finish this book and deep dive even more into the symbolism for today’s climate (political, societal, and literal).
