As I near the halfway mark of this novel, Le Guin has already given me so much to think about. She reminds me why I love speculative fiction so much---that one question that the entire genre is built off of: what if? Le Guin is a master of both asking and answering this question in a way that leaves you more questions. I have truly fallen in love with Shevek and the both of worlds he lives in. Rooting for that guy!!!
